LORD ROBERT EDMISTON
Founder, IM Group
Lord Edmiston is a British billionaire who was born in India in 1946 and moved to the UK at age three. He began his career as a bank clerk but went on to build a business portfolio in the property and motor sectors, with a combined turnover of £650 million. His I M Group imports various car marques into Ireland, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and the Baltics and has an office in Beijing. The property company, once publicly quoted, was taken private in 1993 and now focuses on investment, development, and housebuilding. In 1998, he married Lady Tracie. Together, they founded Christian Vision in 1988, an international charity with offices in 22 countries and around 400 staff members.
